Gaining the attention of rapper Nas with her debut track “Hard to Love Somebody” ignited her singer & songwriter career. Her first official single “Sticks & Stones” was dubbed as the ‘stomping break-up anthem’ and even covered by Nelly Furtado for her album The Ride. Arlissa co-wrote K-pop group BTS’s successful single “Spring Day”, surpassing 2,5Mil+ downloads and going to become ‘Song of the Year’ at the Melon Music Awards. In the US, Elvis Duran noted her on his Artist of the Month list and was featured on NBC’s Today Show, where she performed a live acoustic version of her single. Arlissa co-wrote the track “We Won’t Move” for the 2018 film The Hate U Give, based upon The New York Times best-selling novel by Angie Thomas and performed at the film’s International premier at the Toronto Film Festival. Arlissa released her EP “The Lovers” in 2021 and in 2022, she released her album “The Open Hearted.
