Qun Ye • Vogue China November 2023

Anyone strolling through Montparnasse could certainly do worse than pop into Musée Bourdelle. Tucked away in a residential block, the museum offers an intimacy with its collection of plaster casts bathed in natural light that is unmatched from larger institutions in Paris. The November 2023 issue of Vogue China makes inspired use of the museum’s galleries and surrounding gardens for a Chanel couture story starring Qun Ye. Photographed by Darren McDonald and styled by Vivienne Sun, these eight pages pay tribute to Virginie Viard’s Fall 2023 haute couture collection. Standing in the Great Hall wearing a black tweed dress with embroidered flowers and two-tone velvet slingback heels, Qun Ye (pictured) sets the tone for the pages to follow. Arresting beauty, quiet contemplation, this special series is worth the price of admission and then some.
