With an undeniably raw talent for painting, Delfin Finley’s lifelike oil portraits speak volumes. His work is a reflection on pervasive racism and its manifold impacts on people of color, with an aim to encourage viewers to rethink their own biases. Delfin’s inaugural show “Some Things Never Change,” featured individual portraits of PoC, including Tyler the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, and Finley’s own father. All works sold out on the opening night. Delfin has been honored on the Dazed 100 list numerous times and was photographed by world-renowned stylist, photographer, and designer, Hedi Slimane for Garage Magazine’s list of the “New Class of Los Angeles Artists”. Within fashion, Delfin has walked for Louis Vuitton and Burberry, appeared in campaigns for Acne Studios, Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein, shot for Vogue Hommes and hand painted the hardcover book of i-D Magazine’s September issue. His most recent art showing was in the Fondation Louis Vuitton. Growing up in Los Angeles with his family’s design studio as his playground, he declares himself “an artist first before anything else.”
